Meet Bhav
Hello, I'm Bhav, and welcome to The Līlā Room.
I know that reaching out for support can feel like a big step. Whatever you're carrying, navigating change, feeling disconnected from yourself, or simply sensing that something isn't quite right, you don't have to work it all out alone.
My approach is calm, compassionate and collaborative. I don't believe you're something to be fixed. Instead, I believe we all have an innate capacity to heal, grow and reconnect with ourselves when we're given the space to slow down, feel and gently explore what lies beneath the surface.
The Līlā Room was created from this belief. Inspired by the Sanskrit word Līlā—often translated as divine play or the unfolding dance of life—it reflects my hope that therapy can be a place where life doesn't have to be rushed or solved, but understood. A place where you can meet yourself with curiosity, reconnect with what matters most, and allow change to unfold in its own time.
My own journey has taught me that some of life's greatest periods of growth often begin with uncertainty. Sometimes we find ourselves standing at a crossroads, questioning who we are, where we're going or how we've arrived here. Those experiences have deepened my belief that there is wisdom in slowing down and creating space for what wants to emerge, rather than feeling pressure to have everything figured out.
Professionally, my background brings together psychological wellbeing, hypnotherapy and ongoing training in integrative psychotherapy. Alongside my work in mental health, I continue to deepen my understanding through professional training, clinical supervision and reflective practice, believing that learning and growth are lifelong journeys—for both my clients and myself.
Over the years, I've had the privilege of working alongside people from many different walks of life. One thing I've learnt is that no two people experience life in the same way. Our relationships, culture, experiences and the stories we carry all shape how we understand ourselves and the world around us. Rather than offering a one-size-fits-all approach, I believe in meeting each person with curiosity, compassion and genuine respect for their unique story.
My work draws on psychological understanding, hypnotherapy and psychotherapeutic thinking, while recognising that the heart of therapy is the relationship we build together. I believe meaningful change happens when people feel truly seen, heard and accepted, creating the safety to better understand themselves and reconnect with who they are.
As someone with Indian heritage, born and raised in the UK, I know how deeply culture, identity and family can shape the way we experience ourselves, our relationships and the world around us. Living between cultures has given me a deep appreciation for the complexity of identity, belonging and expectation, and continues to influence the way I work—with openness, cultural sensitivity and genuine curiosity about each person's story.
Above all, I aim to offer a space where you can arrive exactly as you are. A place where difficult emotions are welcome, where you don't need to have all the answers, and where healing isn't about becoming someone different, but gently unfolding into more of who you already are.
If you choose to work with me, my hope is that you'll leave each session feeling a little more connected to yourself than when you arrived.
I'd be honoured to walk alongside you.

A place to slow down.
Space to think out loud.
Compassion over criticism.
Curiosity over certainty.
Growth without pressure.
Permission to be exactly as you are.
Things you'll find when we work together...
Beyond the therapy room...
Outside of the therapy room, I'm someone who finds joy in the little things. You'll often find me with a mug of herbal tea in hand, out walking in nature, laughing with the people I love, or getting lost in a good conversation. I'm equally at home in deep conversations about life as I am laughing until my stomach hurts.
I'm endlessly curious about people and the stories they carry. I believe some of life's most meaningful moments happen when we feel safe enough to slow down, reflect and simply be ourselves.
Living with dyslexia has shaped the way I see the world in ways I never expected. It's taught me that life isn't always linear, that there isn't always one "right" answer, and that some of the most meaningful discoveries happen when we let go of perfection and stay curious instead.
Perhaps that's one of the reasons I feel so drawn to this work.
I love creating spaces where people feel able to exhale, be completely themselves and explore life's complexities with honesty, curiosity and compassion. I believe that meaningful change often begins with feeling truly seen, heard and understood.
And if, somewhere along the way, we find moments of laughter too, I think that's part of the journey. Healing and laughter can exist in the same room—and sometimes those lighter moments are just as meaningful as the deeper ones.
